My name is Holly Fujishige and actually I will be celebrating my thirteenth year at Arthur Murray as a student.

My favorite part is besides learning how to dance is coming to the studio and feeling welcome and being among friends. We have, my husband and I, have made a lot of good friends here. We’ve been to other studios before and the feeling of going into, coming into this place is where you feel like you can stay here and you can talk to other people; You can share experiences.

Everyone’s fascinating here, one thing that happens a lot to us, to my husband and me, is that you know we go out social dancing and more often than not, you know we were asked by other people that noticed we were dancing and that always ask us how did you learn how to do that and we’re very proud to say that we are Arthur Murray students.

In my wildest dreams I never thought that I would be doing some of the things that I can without any hesitation on a dance floor in front of up to maybe 150 people and I’m not nervous anymore, and that’s a big hurdle, it’s a huge accomplishment.

It’s not just the dancing, it’s making the friendships and just having fun here.

Julie: My name is Julie, this is James.

James would say we’ve been dancing for 22 months or about two years.

It was actually James idea to want to do a dance for our wedding. He fell in love with dancing so much that after our wedding we actually continued coming here.

I think that our guests weren’t really expecting it probably until well maybe a few.

James: No one knew about it

Julie: But yeah, it was really fun. I think it was great for pictures like we got some really great pictures out of it. I think everyone was talking about it after we did it and really like enjoyed it and actually one of our friends ended up coming here for their wedding after they found out that we did our lessons for ours.

So like yeah, its really fun to be able to actually pull out dance moves at weddings, and he always likes to one-up my cousin who knows how to dance.

James: Your grandmother really loves it too.

Julie: So my grandma really loves to dance too, and actually at the last wedding we went to, he was able to pull her on the dance floor and do some moves with her and she really enjoyed that. So yeah, its been a lot of fun!

If you’re looking for either doing something fun at your wedding or just looking for something new and exciting to do, I definitely would recommend Arthur Murray. Like I said, we’ve had a great experience here. The instructors are great, the community here with everyone that comes in and dances is amazing. We’ve met a lot of great people and have really bonded with everyone here and made some new friendships. So its definitely something I would recommend to anyone.
